Possible hit-and-run at Memphis, 42nd claims Timothy Bond Jr.
LUBBOCK, TX – A 33-year-old man died Friday in a possible hit-and-run at a busy intersection in southwest Lubbock, reports KCBD 11.
Shortly before 6 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident at 42nd Street and Memphis Avenue in the Maedgen area.
Police say that for unknown reasons, Timothy Bond Jr. lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. Bond Jr., who was not wearing a safety helmet, died after transport to an area hospital.
While authorities have referenced a possible hit-and-run, they’ve not shared any further details about additional vehicles or drivers.
Drivers likely experienced delays in the area of 42nd and Memphis while crews gathered evidence.
