Pilot sent to hospital after plane crash in Springtown 

SPRINGTOWN, TX – A pilot had to go to the hospital after a plane crash in Springtown on Friday, Fox4News reports. 

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the 200th block of McVoid Road, which is approximately 26 miles northwest of Fort Worth. The Texas Department of Public Safety said the pilot had landed on the private airstrip and was in the process of repositioning to refuel the aircraft when the plane’s blade hit a tree. 

The impact led the pilot to sustain minor injuries. He was taken to the emergency room for treatment. 

DPS has not released more information about the collision, including the contributing factor.
