Vehicle vs. semi-truck crash kills 1 on US-380 in Denton
DENTON, TX – A woman died Monday night after her passenger vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on the highway in Denton, reports Denton Record-Chronicle.
The incident happened around 9:49 p.m. on the eastbound side of US-380 near Geesling Road, which is between TX-288 and Greenbelt Park Denton.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Police say the 31-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle died at the scene of the accident. They have not yet released her identity.
It’s unclear if the driver of the semi-truck sustained injuries.
Officials say the collision caused the 18-wheeler to lose all of its fuel. The clean-up process took around five hours, during which time the eastbound lanes of US-380 remained closed.
