Rollover accident on I-35 NB near W Oak slows traffic on interstate

DENTON, TX – A late afternoon accident involving an overturned vehicle created delays along the interstate on the west side of Denton Friday, reports KRLD Traffic.

The accident happened on the northbound side of I-35 near West Oak Street, which is just south of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton and west of the University of North Texas.

It’s not yet clear what caused the accident, nor do we know if other vehicles were involved. Video footage taken at the scene shows the flipped sedan in the far right lane of traffic. Several police cruisers responded to the crash.

Officials reported delays along both I-35E and I-35W as crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway. Our team of news writers will post updates if we learn more about injuries or the cause of the accident.
