Mendi Leggett, 63, fatally hurt in 2-car crash in S Austin

AUSTIN, TX – One woman died, and two people sustained injuries Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in southwest Austin, reports Fox 7 Austin.

The accident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the area of Lost Creek Boulevard and Loop 360, which is just south of Austin Stone West and north of Westlake Athletic and Community Center.

Police haven’t specified the cause of the wreck, which they say killed one of the drivers at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as 63-year-old Mendi Leggett.

Medics transported two passengers from the Leggett’s vehicle to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

Nobody in the second vehicle was hurt in the accident.
