Brett Harden Jr., 38, dies in motorcycle crash on FM 116

COPPERAS COVE, TX – A 38-year-old motorcyclist died Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in south-central Coryell County, reports KWTX 10.

The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on North FM 116 near Lutheran Church Road on the far north end of Copperas Cove. This is about 67 miles northwest of Austin.

Police say that a northbound SUV collided with a southbound motorcycle when the driver of the former vehicle made a left turn without yielding the right of way.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Brett Dudley Harden Jr., died after transport to a Fort Cavazos hospital.

The driver of the SUV did stop to render aid and speak with police.

Authorities say that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.

A full investigation is underway.
