Dusty L. Soles IDed as victim in Hunt Co. train collision

FLOYD, TX – A truck driver for UPS sustained fatal injuries Thursday in train accident in west-central Hunt County, reports the Herald Banner.

Around 11:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a crash involving a UPS box truck at the railroad crossing on County Road 1153 between County Road 1152 and County Road 1154 in the city of Floyd. This is about 35 miles northeast of Plano.

Police say that a train and a northbound Freightliner box truck collided when the driver of the latter vehicle entered the crossing without yielding right of way.

The truck driver, identified as 24-year-old Dusty L. Soles, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
