Pickups collide on FM 107 in Moody, killing Elliot Pursley
MOODY, TX – A 19-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Wednesday in a wrong-way crash in south-central McLennan County, reports Fox 44 News.
Around 7 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on FM 107, or 8th Street, near Doss Lane on the east side of Moody. This is approximately 27 miles southwest of Waco.
Police say that the driver of an eastbound Chevy Silverado attempted to make an illegal pass by entering the westbound side of the FM 107. The Chevy collided head-on with a westbound Ford F250.
The wrong-way driver, later identified as Elliot Pursley of China Spring, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics transported the other driver to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
A full investigation is underway.
