Fiery, two-vehicle collision in at I-35 and Rundberg injures 4

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency crews responded to a multi-injury collision in the Windsor Hills area of Austin on Saturday, reports CBS Austin.

The tw0-vehicle accident occurred around 4 a.m. on the southbound frontage road of I-35 near East Rundberg Lane, which is just northwest of Gus Garcia District Park.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause or circumstances of the crash except to say that one of the cars caught fire, entrapping the occupants.

Medics transported four people to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

Officials closed the southbound frontage road near Rundberg while crews worked to extricate the victims, gather evidence, and clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
