Michael Bryant IDed as victim in King County crash on US-82

KING CO., TX – An 18-year-old man died Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in King County, reports everything Lubbock.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident along US-82. Officials haven’t yet provided a cross street or mile marker for the collision.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a westbound SUV entered the eastbound side of US-82 and collided with an eastbound pickup truck.

The unrestrained driver of the SUV, identified as Michael Bryant of Lubbock, died at the scene.

Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
