Jefferson Ramirez IDed as victim in Austin pedestrian crash
AUSTIN, TX – A 24-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last month in an auto-pedestrian crash in south-central Austin, reports KDH News.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Friday, February 20th, emergency crews responded to an accident on Menchaca Road near Kimono Ridge Drive in the Windcrest Crossing area.
Police haven’t specified if the pedestrian was walking in a designated crosswalk when he was struck
The victim, who has since been identified as Jefferson Gustavo Ramirez Ramirez, died two weeks after the crash in the hospital.
The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities. It’s unclear if they will face charges.
