Head-on crash along TX-114 in Grand Prairie kills Joshua Solis-Munoz

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – A wrong-way collision in southwest Dallas County killed one person and injured another last Friday morning, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident occurred before 5:30 a.m. on the President George Bush Turnpike at West Marshall Drive in Grand Prairie, about 13 miles southwest of Dallas.

Police say that a southbound BMW X1 entered the northbound side of the turnpike and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.

The driver of the SUV, since identified as Joshua Solis-Munoz of Dallas, succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported the 60-year-old truck driver to an Arlington hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
