Police identify pedestrian killed in crash at Preston and Lorimar
PLANO, TX – Authorities have released the name of the Plano man who died on Monday morning when a vehicle struck him in the roadway, reports WFAA 8.
Authorities identified the pedestrian as 73-year-old Joseph Orchowski.
They say Orchowski was walking near the intersection of Preston Road and Lorimar Drive around 6:51 a.m. when a southbound vehicle struck him.
The investigation indicates that the victim was walking outside of a designated crosswalk and that the driver had a green light and tried to avoid hitting Orchowski.
No charges are pending at this time. The investigation continues.
