Dallas PD investigates fatal semi crash on I-45 at I-30

DALLAS, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a two-vehicle collision that happened last week along the interstate near downtown Dallas.

According to Fox 4 KDFW, the accident occurred Thursday, shortly before 1 a.m., near I-45 and I-30 at the southwest edge of the Deep Ellum neighborhood.

There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash, which police say involved an 18-wheeler and a Chrysler sedan. The manner in which the two vehicles impacted remains under investigation.

Authorities declared the driver of the sedan deceased at the scene. They’ve not yet released the victim’s name to the public.

Medics transported the truck driver and a passenger from the sedan to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

Drivers likely encountered delays near the intersection of I-45 and I-30 while crews worked at the scene.

Police continue to review the evidence to determine what may have led to the collision.
