FWPD investigates fatal pedestrian collision on TX-199 near Lake Worth

TARRANT COUNTY, TX — One person lost their life Thursday night, March 21, after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 199 near Lake Worth, according to WFAA.

The Fort Worth Police Department said the fatal incident unfolded at the intersection with Ten Mile Azle Road. Officers responded to the area at around 8:40 a.m. to find the victim suffering from injuries consistent with a pedestrian crash.

While officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash, the victim was said to have succumbed to their injuries at the scene. At this time, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the victim.

No information about the driver or striking vehicle has been provided, and no pending charges have been reported.
